Tks for ur kind words; Adrien "Our stay at the River House was excellent! The house itself was amazing. Very open, and super comfortable. The wrap around porch (and the hammocks!) was great for relaxing. The private pool was a huge plus as well. The grounds were immaculate, and the wildlife around the property kept us entertained. ”
Priscila - thanks for the review of the River House. She stayed with us in December 2016. “This was the perfect stay to rest and enjoy south Pacific! Monkeys during the mornings and all around the house, river noises in the background, comfortable house with everything we needed, adjacent pool and ranch to chill, and the kindest keeper + wife.. also conveniently located less than 15 min from Parque Marino Ballena. 4x4 is highly recommended during rainy season and only as you're reaching the property, but other than that, straightforward drive from San Jose. Great for a romantic getaway or a group thing, there is enough room for 6 people. Highly recommended!”

Great insights about the town north of Uvita - Domincal. I have spent many weeks, possibly months there before building my house in Uvita. It's a great place to just "be" and go with the flow. Surfing is the center piece of this town and the tide pretty much schedules everything somehow around it :-)
A Quick Guide To Off-The-Beaten-Track Dominical, Costa Rica
Beaches that stretch on as far as the eye can see, lush jungle, forested mountains … It’s no wonder that Costa Rica is considered by many to be pure paradise. However, an influx of tourism over the past decade means it can be difficult to find a place that doesn't feel overrun with sunburnt tourists and souvenir stands.
But while the popular towns of Tamarindo, Guanacaste, and Arenal become more and more crowded every year, the dirt road leading to the beach town of Dominical keeps a humble balance of relaxed vibes and plenty of opportunity for adventure. If you’re ready to explore one of the most beautiful regions in all of Costa Rica, then don’t miss this guide to Dominical and the surrounding region:

We still have two beautiful lots with spectacular views overlooking the Golfo Dulce(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golfo_Dulce,_Costa_Rica) available for sale. They are up the mountain providing enough privacy and space for a beautiful house or even hotel. The road is well-maintained and one can easily go down to the harbour within minutes to enjoy boating, fishing or fine dining. A major marina is currently planned and under construction - see http://golfitomarinavillage.com. The lots neighbor each other and can either be bought seperate or together. The sizes are: 1.5 hecs and around 2 hecs. Please inquire for more details at: email@example.com
Just a few minutes drive are the beautiful Uvita Waterfalls. Thanks to our soon to be neighbor - Marco Carniel (www.wildlife-images.at) for this beautiful shot.

I first came to Costa Rica in 1998. I fell in love with the country right away for so many reasons. I have been coming, living and unfortunately never staying off and on since.
