My friend Ilse taking a Ultra Light flight along the coast snapping sme pics. Pilo George is awesome. We love him. Visit him, while in Uvita. Awesome stuff!!!
Easy check-in at Palma Sur Airport. No security but also no AC.
Our first night a the river house on a blow-up mattress. It was still wonderful....what a view and peace in mind....
Joel, be careful there is a ditch....ups, too late. Be careful when driving at night & in general. There are unique street rules in Pura Vida land.
2006 - when water was rare at our properties (no city water then), we go up to whales and dolphin hotel & take a shower or swim. great place to do that or just watch the view.
some of you may think that those beautiful high royal palms that grow along both pathways to the River HOuse and Casa Verde have been there all along. no, here they are after hauling them on our pick-up truck from San Isidro (there was no nursery on the coast then) to Uvita. I love each one of them. They are so beautiful....BTW - in the back you can see Gumer's old house...well it was more of a shack. The workers that build the River House left Gumer there to watch the house until I wld come. And he has been working there ever since. BTW - we build him a nice house on the lot soon after this picture was made.
Goliath - the best dog in this world (ok, Nuss - you are right up there). I loved that dog! He was so awesome. Kept the mountain lion away, and wld bark when there was a scorpion or snake just near the house. Unfortunately, once he did not come back after his frequent run aways to the jungle....that was a sad day.
Morning view from the River HOuse...
Grandpa & Kathrin with Eli at the Point. Not just great place to watch surfers try their luck with the waves but also to eat ;-)
chillin with my baby....

I first came to Costa Rica in 1998. I fell in love with the country right away for so many reasons. I have been coming, living and unfortunately never staying off and on since.
